Certificate / Diploma in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments

This course will prepare you to work as a laser technician for hair removal and skin rejuvenation. We will cover all types of hair from fine to coarse and hair colours ranging from dark to medium pigment.

In the skin unit, we cover the reducing of fine lines, improving appearance of sun-aged skin, and the smoothing out of pigmentation, colour tone, and texture. We also teach how to treat skin blemishes such as blood spots, thread veins, and age spots.

You will learn safe work practices and client health. We’ll also practice good client relations. Since paying clients often share personal and intimate conversation, we will teach you how to become a good listener and to say the right things so as not to offend or upset clients.

This is a very intense level course and includes assignments as well as home study. You will build a portfolio of evidence, perform practicals, and review case studies. You will also need to arrange models for your assessment.

You must have completed Level 2/3 or equivalent with minimum waxing and facial unit covered to qualify for this course. If you are a doctor, nurse, or have a medical background, you don’t need a Level 2/3 course. You can enroll directly into Level 4 course.
There are two options available for this course depending on your experience with Lasers/IPL:
Option 1: Complete the course in 8 weeks attending once a week.

Option 2: If you are already working with Lasers/IPL and have a minimum of 24 months experience, you can complete this more intense course in 5 days. The first 3 days will be intensive training. Then, you will have 3 weeks to complete your assessments and portfolio. Finally, the last 1-2 days are for assessments, case studies, and exams.

The cost of this course certificate level is £1645.00 (UK Centers only).
